"But you could take them all back to Hibernia whence that sort hail."

We do not accept the Ya-Boo-Sucks form of argument. Buck up your ideas or you will be banished to SN for a weekend or if you are lucky, two.

You might think that a weekend excused the company of your countryfolk would, indeed, be a bank holiday. However that would be untrue. At least partly so.

I have just had planted the Irish seed potatoes that arrived PAL earlier in the week and the fizz 'fridge is adequately stocked. A visit or a summons is, then, almost inevitable (despite the fizz hailing from Aldi). Anyway whilst work on Elphie is in intermission I can be shriven of the sin of pride by being thrashed at chess by another of that sometime Fenian family. Despite the cut glass accent he lauds his Hibernian ancestry (ergo no need for the same Shaman). I did manage to break a 9 or so run of humiliation on Tuesday (I know, a single bird is no harbinger).

God knows what happens if the bloody potatoes do not turn out better than mine already planted, I anticipate I will have to volunteer for ten tonnes of best rebel topsoil.

Let us hope the summery sun doth glow,
To make the pratie crop gung-ho.

One of my grandsons worked at Lidl for a year while at college. He tells me that the two aisles displaying non-food items are known by the staff as "the aisle of wonder snd the aisle of shite".

Apologies, only picked this one up!
Yep, I used to be 6 foot four with black hair, now I'm five foot six with silver hair!
I can assure you 33 years with Mrs Pilot 24 is like being in a health resort reserved for strong men!
Don't know what I would do without her though, that's when I take the ear defenders out.
