Close enough. It's the Brean Down Peninsula that sticks out into the Bristol Channel a little north of Burnham on Sea.

Impressive octagonal watchtower complete with compass points for each side. If you examine the picture carefully there is a small clue to its location.

All my pix are UK or at least British Isles based.

Lighthouse not that easy to see here, but the wreck might be a clue.

John Rogers 4th August 2017 15:47

Just to make it a bit more interesting I have given two images.
Please tell me were they are and what they are.

Ah one I think I can answer for once. I knew I had seen it and initially thought it was in Normandy but then remembered it was the Korean War Memorial in Washington DC. I presume the church must be Washington Cathedral but I haven't visited that.

John Rogers 2nd February 2018 01:42

Is it the Cathedral in Spain,

Hawkey01 6th February 2018 14:05

Correct with the Korean memorial in Washington.

Incorrect with the cathedral in both locations.

Temple of the Mormon in Salt Lake City?

geoff

Hawkey01 7th February 2018 11:21

Geoff,

Yes you have it. Cathedral of the Church of the Later Day Saints in Salt Lake City - Mormons.

As an aside to this you cannot visit it unless you are one of the brothers/Mormon. The rest of the tabernacle etc open and really interesting.

Right here a couple more.

The first: This is a famous building. Where is it and its name. This is the easy one.

The second is very topical - what are they and were are they.

The building is The Flatiron Building, originally the Fuller Building located at 175 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan

The statues are "Women are Persons! Monument" located on the grounds of Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario
