Whenever I hear this it brings back happy memories of the Summer season of 1971. Dad was Master of Kiloran II, I was deck hand, and Danny Whiddon was our Engineer. Danny was always whistling or singing this song around the boat, interrupted by Dad ("Skip") yelling at him to sing something different! :rolleyes:

All in good fun.

Brings back memories of kids saturday morning disco and cartoon show at the local community centre ... which was basically a small wooden hut.
But yes, it is a very annoying song.

Mind you, I still think Sally Carr was extremely easy on the eyes! She's had health problems in her later years, but is still singing.

I remember them, the guy had his mum playing the piano in the band...not exactly the rock'n'roll dream :D Can't imagine the Rolling Stones would've had quite the same appeal with Mick Jagger's mum in the band.
