Bankholme
I am collecting photos of as many vessels as possible that members of my family sailed in between the 1860's and 1960's. One such vessel was the Bankholme, O.N. 96390, built 1889, lost 1896, 1157 tons, barque rigged and registered at Liverpool.
Can anyone assist or guide me? Colin |
Here link to Clyde built ships, if it's any help, although you probably know the details

Also as she was built at Grangemouth I came across this reference to photos of ships built there held in Falkirk museums, so maybe useful, maybe not. Scroll down to see archive references.

Thanks Ozzie, yes I had found that site.

Thanks Ozzie, I will follow up the Falkirk museums lead.

Bank Line did not have a ship called Bankholme, you might get a better response if you posted the request in a general 'cargo ships' sub forum.

I had, apparently incorrectly, assumed that was the forerunner to the Bank Line. |
