Making holes in utensils

Does anyone else drill holes in utensils and other kitchen paraphernalia so that they drain as thoroughly as possible in the dishwasher?

Cheap Port Wine is a terrible curse; Beware.

If you turn the cups upside down, that eliminates the necessity of drilling holes in them.

Or you could try turning the dishwasher upside down instead.

What an excellent idea but one unintended consequence that I find is that they also leak when out of the dishwasher. :curtain_call:

Generally I prefer to wash things in the sink rather than trying to stack the dishwasher so that things don't knock together. It's also a hell of a lot quicker.

I don't like mechanical things that knock. Have they fixed the knock in the Tower Bridge machinery yet? :cloud:

There are plenty of nooks and crannies to fill up that are not there for holding liquid in normal use!

I imagined that one had to request the operation of Tower Bridge by some other means than knocking on the door.

(Tower Bridge apparently fixed by 23rd April however I read Hammersmigh Bridge is falling down).

I have found that I don't need to drill holes in most of my knives or forks.

My knowledge of the Tower Bridge machinery is a few years old but as a tourist from Oz I was interested to see it; albeit driven by a washing machine motor and a rubber band.

Who got a Black & Decker for Christmas?
As my old Gran used to say, Satan finds mischief for idle hands.

You poor people......my dishwasher only knocks for me to let her in and knocks-off when finished.....

JJ.

Dremel. Tried the Black and Decker but the handles kept falling off (the saucepans, not the B&D).

JJ. You keep yours outside? Tried one of those out once but her feet were too big for the job.

The spin cycle doesn't have damage cups and plates.

I do remember drilling holes in a soap dish on a Sanko Tanker. ( I did ask the Chief to send someone to do it, but he just opened another beer)
