Here we go then Farmer John.....lets see now.....shift a few cases around and,,,,,,wow look at these bottles here mate. If my memory serves me well these came up from a wreck we were diving on a few years back. The only clue due the labels being washed off in the colour. Too dark for scotch, too dark for brandy, must be scotch,
Sip!...ahhhh theres a fine drop of stuff! here grab a bottle and see what you think FJ.

Our shipment of Burlap, all in nice tight rolls with silk ties and sealed with wax has just arrived on the quay. Mr. McCloggie, could you get a couple of cutouts to bring them aboard and put them in the bonded store? The bullion in the armoured car comes aboard as well, and is to be stored in the secret doubhle bottom in the tonnage hatch.

Woah!
The Cutouts come under my responsibility (I believe) in my role as MAA. I want this tricky, special cargo loaded securely please. Never mind the burlap bundles, what about the bullion? Sorry, but all burlap and bullion will be loaded under strict observation and will be properly registered on the manifest. I can not deal with (say) the CE accusing us of not loading enough Bushmills only to find that a case or three has gone missing! Nobody wants that. As for bullion, extra inspections will still be needed when the armoured cars draw up. All cargo will be loaded and checked on-board correctly. Now, if we were to lose some due to extraneous factors during the voyage that is one thing but we do not know what we have got unless it is all on-board. Gentlemen - and indeed lady - you must trust me that I have your best interests at heart hear. Please let me load this special cargo properly with the cut-outs under my control and we can ensure a "satisfactory outcome". McC |

I shall be there in my cutty sark.
I think investigating Sir William's bottles has made me a little giddy, but it's not that cutty, it's more cuttish.

Ah! The Cutty Sark, Here we go -- The ship under all plain sail, and then the Figure head with Nannie grasping Meg's tail.
For the whole story go, but all you lusty seamen, pay attention to the last verse!!! http://www.robertburns.org.uk/Assets...amoshanter.htm |

Ah, the haggis hunt. How well I remember when I joined the Goodies in their hunt for the haggis. Devilish little creature, with appendages like the bag pipes, skittering here there and everywhere and all the time that mournful sound coming from those pipes. I still have nightmares about them.

Tom, you are right, we are even covered for retrieving balls from the River Severn if the coracle at Shrewsbury has been sunk (which wasn't us).

I can report that all burlap and bullion has been loaded and verified.
I am can also report that the extra security and verification was worthwhile as indeed there were discrepancies between the manifesto, what was delivered and what we actually have. I am however happy to report that these discrepancies were in our favour (I cannot imagine how) so we now have a surplus of bullion and burlap! It is interesting to note that as the burlap unrolled, we seem to have loaded some Scapa Single Malt - which just happens to me my favourite malt - so although most is safely stored, a couple of loose bottles have found their way to my team. As the cutouts are Rechabites and do not drink, I propose to put the bottles on the bar tonight - if anyone wants a taste! McC |

I misunderstood RED-17. I thought she wanted somebody to woe her awound the harbour. I had just launched the jolly boat and was searching for the oars when I wealised what she actually said.
