Half chewed, gummed up, that sounds like something that nibbles and hoards. Excess kindness and an over rich diet may have elevated someones ideas.

I say! There seems to be a pickled finger in my glass of darkie's. Ain't brought the Admirable along with the Lambs Gravy have we?

Everyone knows you don't start a gardener like that. You take him a cup of tea whilst explaining the art of rear-end gear engaging.

Just round the next corner, then we will stop and you can have a Gregg's sausage roll.

Tomorrow we arrive at Colon ---- (much excitement down the stewards alley). The trick is to get there just after a cruise ship passes into Gatun Lake -- all the "souvenir" peddlers want to get rid of their wares and loot such as lighters, silk scarves, etc., can be had for very little.

Given some of the ages of prospective clients, she's probably leasing him out.

Sunlight soap, still available in many good shops in Norn Iron and also in loads of crap ones as well.... reminds me of a song my oul granny taught me...(wanders off singing to the tune of Galway Bay)

"I think one day I'll go back home again to Ireland
if only my oul wife would pass away
she nearly drives me crazy with her nagging
she has a mouth as big as Galway Bay

Each Sunday as she takes a bath I watch her
laying in the tub she spends her day
rubbing the Sunlight soap around Loch Claddah
just to watch the suds flow down by Galway Bay"

Ah, Tmac, the songs learnt at Grannie's knee. (Stifles sob and blows nose loudly). She never thought I would sail for Colon.

Now we are in Colon, it reminded me of a good old Canadian song to be heard at:

At a rough guess, that wouldn't be somewhere in the Dominican Republic, would it? Just a little bit East of Santo Domingo, Juan Dolio way??

Looks nice, where ever it is.

Thank you and Irene for your wishes, Sir William.

Just a proposal --- suggest we head for Santo Domingo -- some interesting spots there, like the Presidio, Diego Columbus palace, the Columbus museum, the Tres Ojos caves, etc. Then head into the Mona Passage and stop off at Punta Cana to sample some of the young multi national sun bathers sans apparel.

Up to the Azores have a lazy day or two anchored off Fayal, then head for the UK. We could arrange to have our annual refit done in the Shetlands (lousy weather, but we just might be able to have a visit with the Chief Engineer's Daughter.) (If the mountain won't come to Mohammed, etc.) Could it be that Coastie's still chasing sheep up there?? Haven't heard from him, or of him lately.??

That internary sounds very good Tom, it's always good to near Scotland around the turn of the year as it's a quiet and peaceful time of reflection for that nation.

Gentle people, much given to stamp collecting and fretwork, especially in places like Glasgow.

Sounds like you really got loosened up.

OK -- cutouts hoist the Blue Peter. (It's in the flag locker - no need to inspect crew digits for colour!)

Sailing tomorrow after the "happy to leave Colon after such a wonderful time party". Farmer John/Dart Skipper (whomsoever is in charge of the bridge) lay a course for Santo Domingo.

Varley, please check our inventory of cigars, as those made in Santo Domingo rival the quality of the Cuban ones. Their rum is pretty good too. Made in Cuba but packaged in SD to circumvent Country of orign regs in USA.
