- Served an apprenticeship with David Rowans in Glasgow, sailed with Ben Line for about two years. Emigrated to Canada after being given the ultimatum, ‘the sea or me’ and never looked back. Worked for the power company for 35 years an engineering technologist, retired in 2006. We have two great children both teachers and two grand children 9 & 12.
