- Spent my working life on the railways but developed an interest in shipping whilst attending College in Liverpool as part of my studies for an Institute of Transport qualification and meeting many people who worked for the M.D & H.B. and various shipping companies based in Liverpool at the time (late 60s). In retirement have enjoyed cruising but not keen on 'floating hotels' that we see nowadays.
