Now I am puzzled. # 2954 looks like Kaga, but Wikepedia identifies # 2941 as Akagi.

I deleted my answer. I came across a couple of images that gave your first answer. It seems one of those can't make their mind up images has popped up again.

Don't argue with the quiz-master, Whatever he says will be the correct answer. :bounce:

tugfan 18th January 2023 15:35

True, I rather put my trust in Sparkie. The internet sites have fooled me before.

#2878...... going back a way.......

The item depicted was a "sighting-mark"......used in transits to begin/end a timed run by a ship on sea-trials.

https://www.secretscotland.org.uk/in...0and%20Corloch.

Now as redundant as the rest of us......they are still to be seen along the coastline of Scotland.

Yes, saw that that and assumed it was an old derelict lead mark somewhere. I could not work out a connection to #2877 so I left it.

That's why I didn't bother with it. The question seemed to refer to the wreck. Was  so I passed it.

The city is Kolkata (Calcutta), the building is the Metropolitan Building and the specialist hospital to the right is the 'Pen Hospital'

Agreed. In my years of playing rugby, we were taught"…
.. the referee is the “arbiter of all fact “
If you disagreed, leave the pitch, but be sure to apologise to the referee!

Sparkie2182 19th January 2023 09:54
