Don't concern yourselves, I have set my plaggies to work, the best Tiki bar is going up, all drinks for all on my tab, the big 70 is here and there would be no better place and crew to celebrate it with. Food of all sorts will be served, but not Irish Stew, the recipe for my version died with my Belfast Granny.

Let wassail commence, and don't forget, it's not a real drink if your ears are still dry.

billyboy 28th July 2018 01:34

Cheers!! all the best to you Farmer John. Long life and good health!!

I'm all for that - maybe we could get the Buena Vista Social Club to provide the music?

As for waffles - your own your own team unless you speak to the Caterers.

Here you go -- while the tropical night away with cool authentic Cuban music washed down with bottomless Cuba Libre (Make mine a double) :pint:

Now the night has been whiled away, we are sailing for Virgin Gorda first thing in the morning at 11:30 hours. Full English in the PAX lounge for anyone up to it. :)

Sorry to report that Red is on temporary medical leave for awhile and undergoing some R & R

Our thoughts and prayers are that she makes a quick recovery. :)

McCloggie 30th July 2018 06:49

I'll join you for breakfast Tom, but please don't mention waffles!

Varley 30th July 2018 10:36

Don't look at me. Talking at breakfast time is anathema and interferes with one's reading of the newspaper. I take it Sparkie takes the press?

Now look at the time! What IS it that I should be doing?

billyboy 30th July 2018 10:47

RED 17,[COLOR="Black"]Our thoughts are with you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Will keep the champers on ice for your return.

Steward!... full English for me please and the usual Coffee pot and bottle of rum as well please.

Anything interesting on 2182 this morning Varley?

Varley 30th July 2018 16:10

Real Sparkies only do W/T and tech. 2182 is for deck pussies.

I echo that, we are here if needed and can be left till wanted.

I am just going to have a chat with Varley about Deck Pussies.

Varley 30th July 2018 17:50

Never mind the hot air. I'll expect someone up soon with a request to Interflorinate Red. I might even lend you my discount.

Engine Serang 30th July 2018 20:56

Real Sparkies also do Semaphore and pigeons. Modern Man does GMDSS. Took your eye off the ball there, me oul China.

Joining in the full English, but hold the chitlins and black puddin' on mine. Yes - that jug of tequila sunrise will be a welcome accompaniment.

Mr. McCloggie, please have us singled up for a 15:00 hours departure. :bounce_angel:

Engine Serang 31st July 2018 08:16

Tequila Sunrise and the Full Irish or An Ulster Fry with Tequila chasers really sets you up for a day's honest toil. But you must have the black and white pudding, squeamishness ist verboten.

Varley 31st July 2018 10:58

Funny you should mention that. Irish friend has put consignment pudding (both) plus rashers in my freezer. I can only hope she intends to do another 'big breakfast'. I don't think it will be advertised as anything Ulsterish 'though despite Kells (of book fame) being located there. There might be something fizzy with it if it happens.

(GMDSS is for deck pussies as is the 'light'. Semaphore and pigeons are only for the amateur lot although I can send morse by semaphore - or I could when the shoulder bearings were as well oiled as the rest of me).

GD definition : to christen , to drain with a satisfying gurgle.

We can do that.

Varley 2nd August 2018 10:51

I believe the proper name for the office is baptism. On GD the difference is that we do not pour it 'on' whilst casting spells but 'down'. May I join you, I have some Lambs Gravy to contribute?

billyboy 2nd August 2018 13:04

You are most welcome Mr Varley. Pull up a Chair. Steward! another glass for Mr Varley if you please.

What, so he gets two glasses? no-one on the GD goes anywhere without a glass, then you give him another.

The man deserves it!
