Known simply as ‘The Monument’ it is the monument to the Great fire of London.
Built of Portland stone, by Wren and Hooke, it contains a staircase to reach the top platform.
As built it contained an astronomical telescope and it has been used for various scientific experiments over the years

#411 - I was first reminded of the M2, but that is much bigger.
I think that it is the Japanese take on the idea, which probably worked better.

Now looked it up - Is it I400?
