thats a nice rolling motion the girl has. must be in the bay already. nice watching Mr varleys wine moving around in his glass...oh, he's emptied it...Another refill Mr Varley?

Varley 13th January 2022 16:26

Well, I don't mind if I do.

Engine Serang 13th January 2022 20:15

Well, I don't mind if I do. Squire.

The batteries in your Avatar needs a quick boost. If you were a Nissan Leaf you would be walking home tonight.

Varley 13th January 2022 22:11

A "thank you" was omitted, as between shipmates. A Squire was not. That stuff's as bad as Fynoderee.

Engine Serang 14th January 2022 06:13

Well, I don't mind if I do, Shipmate.
Sounds a bit Long John Silverish, just before he cuts your throat with his dirk.
As for your Gin me oul shipmate, Fenodyree in the folklore of the Isle of Man, is a hairy supernatural creature and I think some fit the bill more than others. Pass the croquet bat, Marjorie.

billyboy 14th January 2022 11:05

Breakfast time tomorrow we should be shaping up for Gibralter. couple of nice bars there as I remember.

Engine Serang 14th January 2022 11:56

Ah a liquid breakfast in near blighty. We'll have buttered eggs and chitterlings after.

billyboy 15th January 2022 04:11

Left hand down a bit, Aim just to the right of that big rock thingy.

billyboy 15th January 2022 10:30

stop engines. we wait here for the Pilot. Ah I see the pilot launch coming out now.
Cut out No 4 go greet the pilot and bring him to the bridge.

Morning pilot, Nice berth please not too far from the Pub.

Engine Serang 15th January 2022 11:27

As close as possible, our lads like mixing with Squaddies.

Tmac1720 15th January 2022 14:53

Right you 'orrible lot, stand by your work stations with tools in hand because I IS BACK !!!!

My tubes have been blown and I am NOT a happy bunny so you lot will have to suffer for the indignities wot I have suffered :really_mad: I'm not vindictive just a nasty wee sh1t when I is in pain and I love to share my misery around especially to you scurvy lot :smoking:

Mr Varley deposit yourself into your radio shack and pull on your wires until I hear them hum. A traditional refrain will suffice even if you don't know all the words.

ES.... oh aye my "friend" ES, have I got a special task for you  Squeek and Eric have given me a full verbatim report on your nefarious activities while I have been under the nurse. (fine full bodied Belfast lass she was indeed) As frequently heard in the more salubrious areas of West Belfast "Tiocfaidh ar la" and yours is coming young lad, be afraid, be VERY afraid.

Have no fear Sir William, you may shelter from the coming storm in my funnel suite, after all you pay the wages so I don't bite the hand that feeds me.

Engine Serang 15th January 2022 19:50

Scabby knuckles and now scabby arse. Let him rant and rave for a couple of days and he'll be fine. I'll humour him with wee stories of Belfast cinemas in the late 40's, add a wee toot or two of Black Bush and all will be forgiven. Or forgotten.

billyboy 15th January 2022 20:05

Welcome back Tmac, good to have you with us again.

Varley 16th January 2022 01:16

Good news, indeed but I suppose you'll want your knees back, too. Inconvenient. As to pulling wires, I need no tuition from a heathen plumber.

A resident of Crooked Mona now recognising a Heathen? Would one of them be also an Atheist and/or a/an Agnostic?

In times of doubt our default position is the Bible, KJV of course. Regarding Mona I believe Matthew 21: 12-13 is particularly apt and can be blamed on Brexit.

I think you meant John 11 verse 35 :smoking: Not only am I a heathen plumber I am a smart arse as well. Actually from past experience plumbers are certainly not heathen, trying to get one is like trying to find God  buggers are as rare as hens teeth. :really_mad:

Still waiting for your round in the Rising Tide or maybe you are hiding next door in the Canberra having had a good result from Jack's bookies :big_tongue: (don't worry folks ES will know exactly where this is)

billyboy 18th January 2022 22:36

right lads, time to under way again. lay off a Course for Marseilies. Agent seems to think we will get lucky there.
15 knots (eco cruising speed). Program Marsays into ECDIS.
2 and a half days cruise unless we stop off on the way somewhere.

Engine Serang 19th January 2022 08:49

Lets call it 1day 22 hours. Good chance our scurvy dogs will have sobered-up and will be bulling for a dram or two of Ricard. For goodness sake lads keep Mon-sewer V away from the Absinth, he's a martyr to it.

billyboy 20th January 2022 10:37

Myorka and Menorka fine on the port bow. we could anchor off and have a run ashore in the launch if anyone fancies it. take your pick.

Engine Serang 20th January 2022 11:12

Santa Bleedin Ponza for a few days. The female shop assistants and factory workers from Nottingham are now 5 days into their Package Holiday and have run out of money. And are................ I'll leave it up to you Bill.

Varley 20th January 2022 14:42

Are you sure the ECDIS said fine and not fino? Perhaps I had better check the latest update in case we are making for Cadiz for Jerez. It's a larger target so perhaps more suitable for your navigational skills.

Un petit pastis de Ricard? Don't mind if I do although it must be really toasty and bright on deck for it to be worth the hassle of getting the jug of water to the right temperature (I have a jug in the meat room frozen down with water son that when upright it forms a cooling vertical lining - that is when it doesn't leak out and cement the gin bottle to the rack).

Otherwise. A buyers market, what?

billyboy 20th January 2022 19:52

now lets find a nice (convenient) spot to anchor.
stand by focsul!... Let go Anchor...dead slow astern...stop engines. FWE.
swing the launch out and make ready. lower gangway!

Best tropical dress please lads we go ashore in 20 minutes.

Engine Serang 21st January 2022 08:12

Apologies Shipmates, I was sailing this past wee while under a Fleg of Convenience, this was the Isle of Man. If the truth be known I was moving some dodgy money between bank accounts in Crooked Mona.
But my conscience is clear and I'm assured Her Majesties Revenue can't touch it. I'm hoisting the Fleg of St Patrick with the Red Hand rampant later this morning.

Malcolm G 21st January 2022 08:35

It had not gone unnoticed - There does not seem to be an option for cranium and femurs.
