Naughts and crosses. Lucky it's not eastern medicine - a Go layout would be very painful to remove.
(E-S. Indeed. Hardly Michelangelo, not on a good day anyway - he did say that he did not sculpt but merely released the work from its marble incarceration. Sometimes prison is the better option). |
Good flannel pan-jammases is needed in Dublin these nights, Sam Fox just ain't sufficient. If I wore yours His Lordship and The Honourable T would call me Muffin.
I may swap Sam for May McFettridge to save on postage. |
well tiffy been down and removed the tapes. after stretching muscles and ligaments, electrocuting and Molesting me he put another lot on and said see you Saturday.
|
Tiffy ben down this morning. Tapes removed and new tapes of a different type been put on. stuck down in the sick bay for another week now.

Are you sure the insulating tape helps with the electrostimulation?
|
Seems to help Mr Varley. flat out on tummy with hundreds of ants nipping at me for 10 minutes seems like a life time, followed by having my legs forced into positions they never been in before. sometimes wonder if its all worth it.
|
Varley needs you for his Rugby League team.
|
put me down for prop forward.
|
League? The school fees were surely wasted.
|
No school fees in Hull, just Hull fc and Hull kr ......Eyup Varley did you know that 200 years ago the early R N L I was formed on the I O M and did you man an oar.?
|
I walk paste Sir William's tomb quite often. He rather steals the thunder the early, more local, institutions that came before. South Shields, the site of much good marine 'stuff', being one - if not the first.
|
The book. ( ISBN-85260-419-0) Heros All. its the story of the RNLI by Alec Beilby. interesting reading.
Thats the best part of being in sick bay, lots of reading time. Tiffy said he will be down later so will have to see if I will be fit enough to play this weekend. |

Tiffy visit over. been electrocuted, bent and twisted again. more gaffer tape been applied. ore pain killers been taken.
|
BB if I had your afflictions I would send Tiffy packing and engage Lady Cynthia, from Saf London, who would give you a right going over. Back pruning the lobelia or pineapples within 48.
Good advice me oul shipmate. |

Bewildered here in the wheelhouse because the Noble Lord headed back to Crooked Mona to greet Queen Camilla (me neither) but she has a twinkle in her eye that could lead our old buffer astray. Jilly Cooper with a crown.
More pressing matters, the IPA tank has reached unpumpable bottoms and V has the Barclaycard, situation critical. |
I passed QuarterBridge on my afternoon constitutional. The boys in blue were on point-duty dolled up for ceremonial traffic duty.
Had I known HM(Qc)was due so imminently I would have waited to doff my hat. As it was her car, standard flying, passed the road entrance to the NSC at the same time as I did on foot and so I did get a glimpse. A friend, much into City hall mayoral 'good works', pressed the flesh royal. Her remark was that she is very beautiful and merely photographs badly. Taking that as licence I have endorsed my Discharge Book and Passport likenesses accordingly - my bus pass is laminated, next time, should I still need one. End of said constitutional passes 'The Wine Cellar'. IPA is stemmed. Meanwhile don't touch the ECDIS the last time you went cold turkey you tried to pump a pint from the ashtray using the joystick. Rejoining with the pilot. |
Eyup Varley, did you ever sail to Ravenser odd?
|
I may have lived in the reigns of three monarchs now but none of those were Kings Edward I, II and III ! I Google that the place was whelmed by 1350 (although it didn't say if that was BST or proper time).
Anyway my lot come from further West, Stanningley. |
Hull City council have just put some info on their website and divers are going to search the site near Spurn point this summer....they may find your wallet.
|
fed up with sick bay. be glad when I can get out of here. dont even know where we are right now. Sciatica paired up with a bad UTI has drained me.
|
O'Toole and Tracey lay to the Bridge.
I'll put an end to all this blackguarding for once and for all. If I have to I'll make YM up to Bosun and arses will be kicked. Youse have been warned. |
In these days of redundancies, coups, sackings, revolutions, mutinies, insurrections, and hijackings one should consider that before kicking arses today one may have to kiss that same arse tomorrow.
Nevertheless, how much more will I earn as Bosun? Instead of shovelling coal aboard the GD will I get to fiddle with the nuclear thingys? |
