GO PENGUINS!!!!!

For the disappointed Predators, it was their inability to beat Penguins goalie Matt Murray in the final two games. Murray made his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ont., proud by stopping the last 64 shots he faced in the series.

What would you do without us Canadians??

Congratulations, however, I'd be honored (American spelling?) to join you for an Arhne or three in celebration. :pint: :pint:

That doesn't mean that I have not been checking in occasionally to see what damage was being done and what naughtiness was being discussed. I have needed the humour and I always get a chuckle out of what you 'boys' are getting up to. Was it like this when you were at sea?

Anyway, the garden party. If you need a hand with anything Farmer John I am ready, willing and able. I take it that you have secured the mules, remember the debacle last time. Hopefully Pats chickens are not part of the menu nor my lambs????:eat_arrow:

Question; This has nothing to do with this thread but I wondered if any of you knew crew members of HMS Cassandra in the early 60's.

Hi! Red -- Sorry I can't help about the crew of "Cassandra" -- I'd already swallowed the hook by then. :bye:

I just read this, and I applaud the sagacious observations of the...

Oh, it was me!

Farmer John 13th June 2017 14:17

I have just put in a bid at the local sale for a baragraph. I shall use it to be nostalgic about the weather.

Engine Serang 13th June 2017 21:17

Put your pound in your pocket and try looking out the window.

Farmer John 13th June 2017 22:15

Foxgloves, all I see is Foxgloves.

SSR, I'll raise a glass to your teams success. May all your Penguins be Emperors (with a slight edge to their mood).

When we celerbate aboard the GD I think we should turn that auld mug upside down --- it will hold a lot more booze in the bottom than that piddly little cup at the top. :pint: :pint:

billyboy 14th June 2017 08:02

Good thinking there Tom. Chuck a bottle of everything in it and give it a stir. should be some good booze there.

What on earth has pressured you into getting a gadget for recording your inventory of handcarts?

Farmer John 14th June 2017 13:24

Varley, you know how it is, one, two, many doesn't do for insurance purposes. I need to manage my collection, I have tried counting the legs and dividing by four, but it works better for sheep.

billyboy 14th June 2017 23:51

Handcarts?...Oh I see...its a "Barrow meter"

Another libation gentleman and indeed ladies?

Actually, it was Christmas in the bunkhouse, and the boys were feeling Rosy -- but Rosy didn't like it so she left.

billyboy 15th June 2017 09:23

read an article that sniffing Rosemary is very good for you....cant say as I have tried that yet.....Local girl is she?

Farmer John 15th June 2017 14:02

To my surprise, my bid was successful, I now own a Barragraph. It will measure our distance from a Scottish island and record it. It can be set to a number of different islands, it defaults to Barra. I switched it to Rhum and it homed in on Tom for some reason. It ticks, that seems to be the sum of it's mechanical trickery.

With what's going on lately, if it ticks, it might just very well go BANG soon. :supercool:

Varley 16th June 2017 17:23

Please check the trace. If it's all the nils then the banging is because we have hit the Island.

It has a sticker that shows a clock and a BANG sigil, in a red circle with a cross over it. I take it that this is not the tick/bang model.

I switched it to "Muck", it shows no signs, thank you my plaggy stewards for your work.

I switched it to "Egg" and it indicated one only, thank you Blue Funnel tradition.

It has a standby mode of "Pressure", I have put it back on that.

If anyone wishes to try other Scottish Islands, let me know, I have found a way to enter Lat and Long (remember that comedy duo? No, me neither.)
