Further to #1519
The equipment is a Barr and Stroud Triplex FT25 rangefinder.
One was a normal rangefinder, the second observed fall of shot and the third was a cross reference.
Also Used by the Regia Marina.

Yes, I think that is it, on some other pics of Bretagne the array can be seen clearly above the bridge.
The picture for the quiz was of the Coubert and apparently those were the two classes on which it was fitted.

Yes, really ‘like’, but not identical apparently.
I just looked at one of my pics, layout is right, awning and railings are wrong.

Sparkie2182 3rd November 2022 09:53

"apparently"....... Always the crux.

#1550 - I spoke too soon, again.
Looked at in on my big screen and saw it.
Sydney Harbour, Bridge on your left, Opera House on your right.

Sparkie2182 3rd November 2022 18:53

"Looks like Atlis"

Correct.

Sparkie2182 3rd November 2022 19:00

"Sydney Harbour, Bridge on your left, Opera House on your right"

Correct.

The apartments i felt were very recognisable and the lit landing stage of the fishing club made the pic viable as a location question.
A very nice area of Sydney to spend a few hours away from the tourists.
