I am not sure what is going on but we or I may have an IT problem. At the time ML is posting aleenamishal's post has not arrived according to the stamp. Also when clicking ML's "refer to button" it takes one to a different post. Perhaps urgent tech is called for before widerspread corruption occurs.

Not a glitch Mr V, just working as it should.
It was seemingly something akin to spam and I initially gave benefit of doubt and replied.
I will try to delete my reply and hopefully restore status quo.
Now done….

Thanks Malcolm. Better safe than sorry. David V

(Mods can bin that conversation as far as I'm concerned).

One has rather made a fool of oneself.

Neither the first or last time to do so.

Varley 8th September 2021 18:03

Like Mr. Halley's astronomical.
Rare, (but justly target for the singers comical)

Happy New Year to colleagues and shipmates.

Only you and me Albie, the gang must have gone to Arya National Shipping Lines.

Speak for yourself ER Serang.

Engine Serang 28th March 2022 09:35

I bailed out in December 1980 as the future was gradually turning against Brits, going to Arya would have been the suicide option.

AlbieR 12th December 2022 16:56

A bit of a take on an old song "It'll be lonely this Christmas if no one replies,"

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to any Kuwait Cowboys who are still in the saddle.

Engine Serang 12th December 2022 20:44

I wasn't a Cowboy, I was a Commando.
I know big burly men from the SAS who would baulk at going down a Russian engineroom, brave lads but there is a limit.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all in Kintyre and be assured we are also suffering from snow, ice and the bloody freezing fog.

Varley 13th December 2022 12:30

Commando? No wonder you are suffering hypothermally. I am on the lookout for a quilted boiler suit - and that's with knickers on.

Captain Peter Laurie

I have been trying to contact Peter for a few days all I get on the phone is " you have dialed an incorrect number. Please checl and redial ". I knew Peter was not in the best of health but fear the worst. Alan

Captain Peter Lauire

Regret to advise Peter [ aka Spot the Dog ] passed away 3rd April. Another Albatross in the sky.

Engine Serang 13th June 2023 06:09

I never met Peter but my condolences to his family.

The honest truth is that all my BOT Acquaintances and myself are in the zone and years of Tennants and Bhandari's Curry is no help. But I wouldn't swap it for the world.

Hi Alan. I often wondered about that. Was he still building model aircraft ? I never could figure how he got them home unless he flew them! All the best Bob

Salaam Alikum, shipmates,

I may have asked this before (memory failing), has anyone a KSC/UASC cap badge?

Engine Serang 16th October 2023 08:12

Hi guys, Has anyone received correspondence from Phoenix Life? Is this subject to Income Tax?
Cheers,
E S.

I have been getting my cut from UASC Crusader [ as was ] and it has 20 % tax deducted.
Alan

Engine Serang 18th October 2023 07:13

Thanks Alan, good to know they're not just picking on me. Sort of makes up for all the hardship.

Hi ES
Was at my parents house yesterday and managed to poke the phone in through the cupboard door of my old bedroom - and there it was!

Unfortunately for Health & Safety reasons that is as near as I can get for the foreseeable future.

I always took it to sea with me, but never wore it once - if I had ever made it to 3E, I am sure I would have worn it for standby's on the manoeuvring platform  - just like in the movies.

As it was, my nephews wore it more than I ever did when they were kids.

But it is still there in case I ever get the call to go back
