I did not know there was a Gallipoli in Italy, shame on me. I only knew about the one in Turkey.

Gallipoli, Turkish Gelibolu, historically Callipolis, seaport and town, European Turkey. It lies on a narrow peninsula where the Dardanelles opens into the Sea of Marmara, 126 miles (203 km) west-southwest of Istanbul.

I'm with you on this one, Uncle John! I was left scratching my head too. You deserve half a point or, at least, a half of bitter on Sparkie's tab! Have one on mine instead.
Rgds.

I must admit, that I had no idea there was more than one Gallipoli, but the ‘clue’ (knowing Sparkie?). It was TOO obvious to be Turkey, I ‘Google-d’ Gallipoli, and there was the Italian version. In fact, I was so surprised to find it, (on the first page) that I wondered if it was a double-bluff.
