My mate is looking at starting up his own business, recycling discarded chewing gum.
He said “I just need help getting it off the ground.” |
Knock knock.
"Who's there ?" "Doctor" "Doctor who ?" ... ... ... EXTERMINATE EXTERMINATE !! |
Don't you point that sink plunger at me - it might be loaded.
|
Would that it were.

Xi was due to be used but WHO chickened out so as not to offend the despotic Chinese Leader.⅜
|
If it was 'chickened' then that would be bird flu...:big_tongue:
|
Confucius, he say only 3/8th leader make only 5/8th despot.

African or European ??
(You have to know this sh1t when you're a King  ) |
Is that a tautologue or do we need to include a vector diagram as well a knowing its ethnicity?

As long as you apply the Lorentz factor to the velocity of the swallow, you shouldn't have a problem.

Philosophy - Being in a dark room, looking for a black cat.
Metaphysics - Being in a dark room, looking for a black cat, which isn't there. Religion - Being in a dark room, looking for a black cat which isn't there, and shouting: 'I found it'. Science - Being in a dark room, looking for a black cat, while holding a torch. |
I'm having trouble defining "unladen."
Does it mean completely empty, or not carrying a fellow flier? |
Perhaps unladen is just after it unloads on your head.
|
I think it means not carrying an anvil. This would mean a sharp increase in the swallow's velocity albeit in one direction only.

I think I can safely say that exercise 6. has considerable appeal ... (especially after exercise 2.) :smoking:

Managed a walk around Tamar Lake this morning for the first time in a week, due to crap weather. (A highly technical meteorological term.)
What a difference just two months can make. October 2021 and December 2021 |
Bob,
Still looks pretty unappetizing to me. I do like good medium heat and sun. Spring is on the way!! Neville |

Here's an interesting vessel to keep track of. Fabulous piece of engineering.

Brown Bros folding fin stabilizer worked on a similar principle 40 years ago. I'm a bit disappointed Ms Nicola has not proposed an SNP space shot, it would be a project with a better than average chance of success for Scotland.
|
Scotland's a bit far North for launching anything but internecine ballistic missiles (not sure about polar orbiting stuff). We did make noises to manage a space launching semisub.

The Youtube link appears to time out after a while. So this NASA link might be better.

Bob, Blue Monday is the name given to 10th January said to be the most depressing day of the year.
I am left cold by your Thumbmail and am even more depressed than normal. FYI we now melt down a Gorilla to obtain glue, or sticky stuff as it is known in Cornwall. |
What with black Friday, red Tuesday and bloody pink with green bits Thursday and now you're telling me there's a blue Monday ... it's no wonder I'm losing track of the weeks as they become a psychedelic trip rather than a span of time ....
:big_tongue: |
In the medieval calendar certain days were considered ‘bad’ or even ‘evil’ when one should avoid starting new works etc.
These were known as the Dies Mali, which is the root of the word dismal. So, when you say “Dismal day” it is a tautology. |
Graham Danton, who lectured at Plymouth Training College, told a story on his Sunday afternoon show, "A Date With Danton," on Westward TV many years ago. It was probably apocryphal, but memorable anyway.
Their Lordships at the Admiralty decided to abolish the fears of seafarers who objected to sailing on Fridays. A contract was drawn up specifying that a vessel to be named HMS Friday was to have her keel laid on a Friday, that she should be named and launched on a Friday, that she should undergo trials on a Friday, and that her maiden voyage should commence on a Friday. The terms of the contract were strictly adhered to. She sank. |
The sea suctions were fitted on a Tuesday.
|
It could have been on a Monday though, E.S. A hint of the "Monday Hammer" maybe?

Well it could happen, and soon…
|
According to Stein, it happened recently! I suppose the answer is (in the nautical sense), "WAIT and WHISTLE!"

Can't help but think we'll run out of oil long before we run out of wind.
