D606

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the D606 (Modified NMB) Agreement actually stood for and why it existed in the first place?

As I understand it, it was only used for complements of MSBVs (Mooring, Salvage & Boom Vessels). When it ended the sea staff moved onto RMAS conditions - where they were probably better off!

Before the PAS/RMAS I imagine all the other civilian Admiralty controlled shipping departments were on separate conditions packages, namely: armament carriers, Admiralty cable ships, seagoing tugs and trials vessels, etc.
