At long last have left the old site, stayed due to a sense of misguided loyalty,, glad to see all the old gang hard at it on this site

shipwatcher3 - welcome aboard, have a browse round the Gallery, there’s some good stuff there.

reefrat - another jumper, what kept you? Yes, the gang’s all here.

Where old stokers go.

Greetings fellow seafarers and scrimshankers. Like a lot of others, one has become disheartened with SN.

Greetings and welcome aboard, new and old shipmates! Here we all are and it is a very well mannered, informative, personal and enjoyable site experience compared "t'other".

Hello

Thank you all for the very warm welcome, I am amazed by the number of different countries truly worldwide.

lakercapt 14th April 2022 22:55

Yes we are from far-flung places and most have tales as varied as the countries where we post from.

Are we at war with *t'other*?
I visit daily and post occasionally and find the chaps excellent company.

YM-Mundrabilla 15th April 2022 08:05

I don't see it as a 'war'.

There are good people on both sites.

To me, each site has its strengths and it is just that I find SH more user friendly so far as the gallery is concerned and I no longer post photos on SN.

SN has improved but they lost me photographically in the change of ownership and format together with a lack of response/understanding (whatever) to questions and complaints etc a couple of years ago.
