Hi All, Australian naval history.

Right or wrong ?.Will try and post a link to the last week in the guardian.
[ https://www.theguardian.com] click on search & put in Voyager Disaster.that should bring up two links for the last week. Two royal commissions couldn't break naval bull sheet Robingail.

Hi Robingail,

It's great to have another female on board, we are somewhat outnumbered but the chaps are all gentleman.

I am seriously impressed that you were a RAN, especially given the time frame. I had never thought of joining the Navy, I did try and enlist in the Army but they told me to come back when I had finished my training. This was some years after you had become a RAN. By that time however I was more interested in getting married and starting a family. Silly me, young, foolish and hopeful.

Just as a bye the way, I was inadvertently responsible for a young man of my acquaintance joining the Navy. Also, re Voyager, I knew one of the young ratings who was killed in that collision. His father was never the same man after that event. Very sad!

Hope you enjoy your journey on SH.
