Gave up in 1976 because I was PU because of a shipboard accident in 1967, which left me with a permanent Traction injury of the L. brachial plexus causing partial paralysis of my l. neck shoulder arm and hand, Horner's Syndrome damaged spine.

Well, well. That stiff neck stopped you from rowing over earlier eh?

Never mind, the bar's in the same place.

Welcome on board Laurie, it's great to see you made the jump. The path to the bar is well trodden now, just follow the worn deck paint!

What kept you?

You will also, no doubt, be delighted to know that there is at least one 'joke' thread - where you can test the endurance of the Groan-o-meter.

I see you are an Engineer from Southampton.

Do you know Peter Ridyard, a Lloyds Engineer Surveyor from Southampton ?

He made headlines when his son was lost in the sinking of Bibby Line's
M. V. " Derbyshire. " He claimed the ER bulkhead had collapsed. Seems he was a long lost cousin of my father's.

You didn't say " Ho- de - ho ! " !!!
