Hello + Elpidifor
 

Hello everybody: I'm a new member from Italy, but I guess that some of you met me on other maritime sites; I'm interested to ships displaying italian flag during WW2.
I'd like to have infos about the story of a "family" of small tankships, whose production started at the beginning of 20th century in Germany and Austria for russian owners and whose life went to the fourties, when they were frequently employed as "landing" craft: I mean the "Elpidifor" type vessels.

On my side I will post 3 or 4 pics of ships of this type, looking specifically for news/pics of the FEODOR THEOFANI (built in Trieste in 1903) and the SPERANZA (a river tankship floating the Danube under italian colours in 1940, for someone guessed to be the same ship).
