On this track, the center of Leslie will be near the west-central coast of Portugal in a few hours, and move inland over portions of central and northern Portugal tonight, and across northwestern and northern Spain Sunday morning. Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast after Leslie moves inland over the Iberian peninsula, and the cyclone is forecast to dissipate by Sunday afternoon or evening.
