Found an old folder with a lot of memorabilia from long ago, ship visitor leaflets, programs etc etc

From a Navy Days when we had a navy

Interesting. total of 33 vessels shown on the plan.
8 in dock.
22 on outer quays.
2 Dutch visitors.
1 RFA.

Have we still got that many ships?

I remember that navy day Sunday well.


I was on crutches right leg in plaster and one lens of my glasses with a white patch, (proper pirate). I was still recovering from a bike accident which happened in March


I had a young lady helping me through the hatches and down through the ship.
As was usual I was late getting to the coach back to Gloucester then a 20 mile hitchhike back home
