Winter comes to the southern hemisphere

Just had to make a trip to see my GP who is also a great personnal friend with a bout of 'flu!' You've got the dreaded bug he says and virtually reeled off all my syptoms. I couldn't really add to the list and I came out of his surgey with a goody bag of medicine and the advice to drink plenty of liquids, hot toddies recommended

I am in denial and don't want to know about Winter in the Southern Hemisphere! :bad_mad:

This northern hemispheroidal being goes into total GLOAT mode over winter suffering types. (Knowing full well the boot will be on the other foot six months from now.) :big_tongue:

Such is the great cycle of life .....

Bitten the bullet.
The YMs has just dragged me screaming into our Travel Agent's which has resulted in us spending July in Europe.
Oh well, that's another winter away from miserable Melbourne covered.

PS: I will enjoy it when I get there, of course.:wave:

I thought you meant 'flu jabs 'till I read the whole thing. Anywhere near here?

YM-Mundrabilla 26th May 2017 11:26

Not this time only Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Switzerland. More technical museums and paddlesteamers !

It's a real burner here today. My small conservatory was up to 120 F at 8 am this morning. Like walking into an engine room. Walking around Tamar Lake I got bloody burned !

Roll on winter.:big_tongue:

You will be safe indeed Red; but why anyone would choose to visit Melbourne in the depths of winter eludes me even if the timing of the visit is just to avoid me.

You have my gift of the 'Freedom of the City' to run riot as you please (everyone else seems to) and by all means feel free to mow my lawn while you are here.

Glad that you came to no harm at Tullamarine whilst enroute to/from Tasmania.

If you haven't been there before (and even if you have) I hope you get to visit the Motor Museum in Mulhouse, which is just in France, close to the River Rhine and the German border.

This really is a fabulous collection of cars and other vehicles, unmatched anywhere else in the world.

As a bonus for the technically-minded there is a railway museum only a couple of miles away.
