Anybody remember that Johnny Cash song "One Piece At A Time"?

It is, sadly in pieces outside, and I suspect now beyond redemption.

Speaking to the curator at the Internal Fire Museum (well worth a visit) they would not get planning permission for a building tall enough to house it at Poynton. Internal fire were the "Reserve" for the engine and, IMHO it would have been better there.

Think even she may be warming to the idea - she has just asked if she should buy it for my birthday. I'll probably have to let her down gently as I'm going off the idea.:confused:

Just as well. Your initial comment will have driven up the market - unless, of course, her mother just happened to have one in the cupboard.

It's a Doxford C/C Door. Someone will probably give him a grant.
