PAYPAL Scam.

I received an email from what looked like Paypal this morning, but it was addressed "Dear Client," so I knew that it was wrong.

Paypal always use your Paypal ID to address any legitimate mail.

If you get one like this, do not click on anything, delete it immediately.

These people never give up. Be alert, shipmates.

Had a few of them myself Roy.....as I do have an account with them I do check first...Most of my scam mails seem to be from Banks I have never had an account with...easily disposed of.

Years ago PayPal asked users to forward scam/spam/phishing mail to a specific address.
I did this a few times - The response was often a patronising reply telling me to do what I had just told them I had done. Sometime no reply at all.
Now I just bin them. With the old POP3 system that meant having to do it on each device, much easier now with imap.
Usually easy enough to spot as PayPal send any messages to you by your registered name - anything else is phishing.

I've been getting them telling me my Paypal account (also gmail account) have been suspended, and 'click here' to reinstate them. Needless to say they just get dumped and my accounts continue working.

I receive these e-mails on a regular basis and forward them to "[email protected]" and they do respond.

Had two identical spoof emails yesterday, each saying I was in a draw for a £1000 goods voucher, one purported to be from Amazon, the other from Argos.
