Pacific Steam Navigation Company

I am surprised to see PSNC is not listed in with it's own heading amongst the other listed shipping companies.

My apprenticeship commenced August 1958 and I served with them until I joined Shaw Savill Line in 1965.
PSNC a fine old Liverpool company founded in 1840 trading to South America mainly the West Coast and West Indies.

I am sure there are many out there with stories to tell of their times on those ships, which were not known for the best accommodation or food depending on the Chief Steward at the time. However the ports visited seemed to generate some hilarious stories told by the wild rovers returning to the ship not always in the same port that they went ashore in!
Cheers
