Captain Harold Barber
 

Captain Harold Barber recently ' crossed the bar' . He is fondly remembered by Bank Line colleagues as he served from 1953 when he joined the company as 3/0 on the 'old' Ernebank and went on to command many of the new and old vessels. I was a junior apprentice on that Ernebank voyage, and have written an account titled " Round the world in Coronation year 1953" - see http://banklineonline.com.
