Supertanker collision with shore

Hi guys! I'm in search for answers regarding an event that I remember vividly being talked about in one my lectures in Maritime Science back in the 1980s. During one of our lectures the professor mentioned the safety concerns regarding fully-loaded supertankers and the extreme masses and forces at play. The professor then proceeded with showing photos of a supertanker/oil tanker wedged hundreds of meters into the shore. The pictures showed the gigantic trail formed by the land collision and we then discussed the safety concerns of this.

Many, many years later I was reminded of this very lecture, and being as curious as I am I decided to look into this event on the internet. However, I have never found such an event, ever. I've looked on-and-off for years for such an event, since I remember it so vividly. Is this just the Mandela Effect at play?

Google does not even supply me with hypothetical discussions regarding, neither questions about supertanker collision safety nor any similar events. Thus, my question is if this has ever happened. Has a supertanker or larger ship of some kind ever collided with shore and ended up plowing through hundreds of meters of land?

I am desperate for answers and with age my curiosity has grown even larger for finding out the answers to this.
