Polish border situation
 

It occurs to me that Mr. Lukashenko's strategy lends itself to allowing malicious infiltration of Belarus.

Amongst the immigrants that he is encouraging in to Belarus with the intention of them transiting to the EU it would not take much to add into that stream some who would introduce a little mayhem on their way through his wonderful country.

Saw it John. I thought the majority were Kurdish - no friends of the Faithful they are they?

No idea what they are David , all looking pretty well the same.

Now I think about it that's wrong. The Kurds were fighting the Fuzzy Wuzzy for us in Algeria while another gallant ally, Johnny Turk, had at them from the rear.

I think Lukashenko's invitees are specifically from Afganistan, our gallant Fuzzy Wuzzy allies fighting the Fuzzy Wuzzy's Fuzzy Wuzzy for us. Might have been already half way inclined to help in a bit of counter destabilising had they not been stabbed in the back.

(I didn't say that that is what should happen only that it seemed an obvious opportunity)

According to Auntie, tonight, I was right first time Lukashenko's airborne insurgents are Kurdish, those finding their way to the French coast are a mishmash from other misbegotten and unfinished adventuring. I shall retire, it's all getting a bit Balkans for me.

My daughter and son in law are home from Italy where they work on super yachts. This whole situation with passports and time in and out of the EU for British seafarers is becoming a nightmare. However, that’s another story.
They said that at the Italian/French border the Italians appear to stop anyone who isn’t of ‘European’ extract i.e. not white-ish to check papers - mainly passports.
Those ‘migrants’ who are trying to cross from Italy to France are often encouraged by the Italians to do so by the Carabiniere. On the French side the Gendarmes are very evident stopping and pushing back on immigrants to keep them in Italy. No different to the situation with Belarus and Poland!
