Health Hints.

I have some health care suggestions I would like to share with SH members.
I will be 87 years old in a couple of weeks so naturally I have some pains. I read about Hemp Oil and how it relieves pain, I dont smoke and I would never use medical marihuana, however this Hemp Oil is different, I started taking an eye dropper full every day for the past 11 days and I dont have any pain in my knee joints and back, to include a diabetic nerve pain down my right thigh, all gone, of course I dont know how long it will last. The bottle only last a month.

Thanks, John - I'll try that. Broke an arm five weeks ago - it aches as it mends. At 80 I seem to be a bit more frail than formerly, so need the odd prop.

Thanks John.
My wife has pain in her joints while walking, she is healthy enough and was very active, fair enough she is in her 80s but that Hemp oil sounds like something she will give a go to, thanks for the tip.

Hello Harry , Holland and Barrett have various sizes and strengths of Hemp Oil on offer at half price . Bought some for my wife yesterday to try as she suffers from arthritis.

Tugger and Roger, let us know how the hemp oil does on your wives.

Varley 15th November 2018 14:21

I have to say I was given a course worth of the stuff and could discern no change either way. It may not have helped that one of my younger friends had already researched what the net had to say about it and so maybe even a placebo effect was countered.

John Rogers 15th November 2018 18:26

David it is possible that it does not work for all people, all I can say it helped me and I was in a lot of pain, when I walked I had to use a cane or hold on to the walls, no more.

Varley 15th November 2018 18:52

Indeed John, and if it does help more power to its elbow.

I've already noticed a change. She thrashed me 4 games to 1 at pool this afternoon!! I usually win 2(ish).

At least she didn't use the pool stick on you.:curtain_call:

Update: My broken arm has mended nicely; but I now must excercise to recover movement. The nights have been painful and interrupted, but since I began with this hemp oil, I often sleep the night through and have recovered a good deal of flexibility. Just two drops under the tongue before bed. Voila!

My son has just finished a 30 day supply and he said his pain has gone. Now that I have proof that it does work I will try it on the wife.

Tugger, how is the wife doing with her pains, is the Hemp Oil helping her any.

After reading this thread I mentioned to Mrs JJ. about Hemp Oil and she said she'd tried it with no benefits. She bought some capsules from a health store so I wondered if it is the same stuff mentioned on here only in capsule form and not drops. The price of drops is much more than for capsules so I suspect there is a difference, maybe in effectiveness. Is this likely and should she have got the drops?

Jolly Jack

I have taken both, the first 30 days it was drop and my pain was gone. This past month I am on capsules. Felt no difference yet.

Jolly Jack 5th February 2019 17:13

Thanks John.

Jolly Jack,
To add to my previous post, the dosage has a lot to do with it. My dosage is 1000mg a capsule taken two per day.

Just had a total knee replacement and was in the hospital for two days. They don't let you lie about as the same day you are up and moving with the help of a walker and doing physio. Will see how it goes and will consider the other knee in three months. This old age sure is a pain but the alternative is not so good and when I think I am in a bad way know there are many in the cemetery who would change places !!!
