Old favourites

The other old favourite I like is a hock of ham in the slow cooker and a load of soaked marrowfat peas for the Old traditional pea and ham

Had a bowl of pea & ham only last week Rob from my daughter in law, delicious. I use the ham hock for stock for my minestrone, sandwiches for hubby and bone for the dog.

I like the old-fashioned soups I bought a soup maker solely for making the really old fashioned stock based soups especially in winter I like the really thick solid ones

You'll have to enlighten me Rob! I thought I was a soup maker, are you talking about a slow cooker...A plug in job that takes hours?

I like to look at the pictures and then make it. 99% of the time the meal turns out great. Here is one that looks easy. The stew can go in the slow cooker, buy the bread make a bowl and wala.
