Hello Derek,

With everyone's commitment, it won't be long until we have this site running like SN in it's early days. :)

What went wrong?

Can anyone tell me, simply, what happened to SN? Was it just the gallery, or more problems? I'm still a bit confused.

Just come across from SN. Looking forward to watching this site develop. Time to dig out my slides and photos again from my 13 years as a Deck Officer in the MN.

I'll second that John, got really sick of the sniping on the SN Stormy Weather forums, and we all know who the main culprits are. One of the threads on there now has over 10,000 posts and they're still making their infantile remarks, I would have thought that all that could be said had been said ages ago.

tony allen 1st May 2017 13:00

glad to know I was not the only one to think that thanks fellas

Harlequin 2nd May 2017 11:13

Problem is Tony, is that they'll probably end up on this site spouting the same sort of stuff.

sibby 2nd May 2017 14:56

When that happens I will go into hiding.

To quote someone, it has all been said, but not everyone has said it yet.

Very true John, I just got sick of the same ones posting the same things. Might have been O.K. if there'd been any humour or wit in their postings, but they just appear to me to be very angry frustrated individuals. Lord knows what they were like to sail with, unless of course they just haven't aged very gracefully.

Farmer John 3rd May 2017 16:18

I just accept that some will urgue their way round and round till they screw them selves into the ground and then start all over again. "Meetings" at work would go like that. 7.00pm and some fool would say "Just to recap, and I'm sorry I don't agree with everyone...". Dull thud as head hits table, here we go again.

When my Grandfather was made head of something or other, his first thing was to cancel all routine meetings.
