Bill Smith must be quite famous, although I never met him myself!
I met a yacht owner from BC when we were in Acapulco. When I told him I was from Torquay, he knew it well having skippered a D Fairmile based in Brixham in the War. I also met someone in Pa. whose parents lived in the same road in Torquay as my family.
