Found out about this forum after reading about it on a thread of another forum which is having photo problems!
It looks very familiar in style and content; here's hoping it grows and prospers.
I was an engineer with BP from 1971 through to 1986, when the big cull occurred. I sailed mainly on BP's motor ships, in particular the River class. When made redundant in '86, I took the opportunity to seek employment ashore. I had a couple of jobs in the manufacturing sector, before joining the NHS as an engineer in the Estates Dept. of a local NHS Trust.
I am now retired, spending far too much time on the Internet, instead of doing all those jobs around the house!
