You were lucky, many people claimed that Allegro was a mis-spelling of All aggro.
The original Harris Mann concept looked so much better but they decided to put an off-the-shelf engine and heater under bonnet - this was the result.
From a Trade point of view the first problem was that one could not use a regular trolley jack without special adapter pads to stop the jack from bending the floor pan, and stopping the door from opening. Yes, it actually happened.
