We do use that term at sea -- I always thought it was an acronym for "Any Woman On Land" (usually followed by "will do"). Remember that this is the Golden Dreamer, so that do not really think that way --- we are usually very respectful especially to the distaff members of our crew, so you are perfectly safe aboard. I do think, that in the absence of Pats, Sister Eleff, and the C.E.D., that you could easily persuade Sir William to loan you his Titanium credit card to go shopping in Santo Domingo. Seriously, there's so many interesting places to see here.

I would be pleased to act as your personal guide, but if you want to see the cathedral you'll have to wear a dress below your knees (the hem that is!) They don't allow shorts in there.
For the rest of the crew, the local beer "Presidente" is cheap and plentiful.
