NZ and football
I have lived here for fifty plus years. Rugby was not even on my radar. Trying. to find the score of the European cup final 1969 or seventy was tough. Celtic and Feyenoord I think. Results posted and that's your lot. Not much improved since. The news will show rugby teams in training at great length, and then you get ten seconds of Man U or Barca scoring magificent goals.
The biggest game on the planet is studiously ignored, except for showing Neymar diving or anything else negative connected to the game. More people play football here than rugby but it does not get covered.
