I passed QuarterBridge on my afternoon constitutional. The boys in blue were on point-duty dolled up for ceremonial traffic duty.
Had I known HM(Qc)was due so imminently I would have waited to doff my hat. As it was her car, standard flying, passed the road entrance to the NSC at the same time as I did on foot and so I did get a glimpse.
A friend, much into City hall mayoral 'good works', pressed the flesh royal. Her remark was that she is very beautiful and merely photographs badly. Taking that as licence I have endorsed my Discharge Book and Passport likenesses accordingly - my bus pass is laminated, next time, should I still need one.
