Do you need to worry about this?
I think that players can simply select a puzzle and then go to 'play as' (top RH corner of the puzzle and pick the shape and number of pieces that they want to play. This is regardless of what the poster of the puzzle has set. Random rotation can also be selected or unselected.
I have just put a new puzzle 'Dredging the Yarra' of 100 pieces without random rotation if anyone wishes to 'experiment'.
