My best bucket list visits take place in my head. Isn't that why older people find their memory for earlier times seems to get better. I also live a place I love, deliberately so, and I can walk out my door and within 20 minutes be in a place I have worked hard to know well, the plants, the paths, the tracks, the history. I know I am lucky, but we have worked to be here, it has cost us some things and brought us others. When we walk down the town, we raise a hand to so many, stop to talk to some, gossip about others. Our neighbours are good people, things do change and sometimes it seems like not much of it for the better.

Bucket list is a death like my Dad's, walk in the house and say "The garden is lovely" and drop dead. We are not getting out of this alive, and easy end is gift to be wished for.

P.S. 70 yesterday, to my surprise.
