Almost 20 years ago I put some some photos of HMS Warrior, that my dad served on, on one of my websites -

Now I've got an email saying "J" at the time belonged to HMS Eagle. So I did some reading and am as confused as ever.

But there's also pictures of HMS Warrior at Operation Grapple in 1957 and that's got the J lettering as well -

Can someone explain what's going on? Are all the sites with photos of Warrior wrong? HMS Eagle mislabeled as HMS Warrior.
Was something else going on with these deck letters?
