Hi
I'm wanting to look into my dads early life who sadly passed away in Jan 2021. He was a Vindi boy June 1959 and his first trip was on the Athelcrest in August of the same year. I have his seaman's record book so know the ships and dates he travelled. Is there anyway that can tell me where the ships travelled to? Thanks, Chris

Here is a quote from the London guildhall library:
Further information about the Lloyd’s Marine Collection and the Voyage Record Cards (VRCs) held at Guildhall Library can be found on our website: http://is.gd/LMCol. Visitors need to give at least three working days’ notice for us to locate VRCs for up to ten vessels at a time. The cards can also be copied and posted (charges apply) to enquirers. I contacted them before I went and gave them a list of the ships and dates. When I went there you can photocopy (take plenty of change, 20p’s when I went) the voyage cards which show dates and ports. I have some of them and will scan one onto this site to let you see what they have on them. Obviously with the current situation things will be different. Will post a voyage card later. I will also try to list the voyage cards I have, Clan Line early 1950’s and some B. I.
