loading depth charges [ imput / info from Malcolm G ] My Dad was there during the war on Lanchaster bombers as s rear gunner [ tailend charlie ] he meet my Mum there who was also stationed there in the WAAF . she was a local girl from St Columb Minor . That is a B24 Liberator bomber, probably 224 squadron of Coastal Command.
They are loading depth charges most likely getting ready for anti submarine patrol over the Bay of Biscay.
