Seine barge
Can anyone identify the red painted structure on the foredeck of the barge photographed on the Seine in Paris?

A couple of clearer photos I received seem to have answered the question.
The view is actually of the stern and the red structure is a hydraulic arrangement for raising the rudder so as it won’t get fouled by the anchor chains
