I am inclined to agree with Geoff re Yellowstone - or Jellystone for Yogi Bear aficionados.
Germany for most castles maybe, but if one counts hill villages as former castles then Italy would be in with a shout.

2. Yes, been there, following the South Dorset Hunt.
Edit: If you want to visit nowadays without fear of trespassing etc - It is on the Coastal path between Bat's Head and Durdle Door.
