I have decided to abandon my salvage claim for HMAS Adelaide for three reasons:

I think ES is trying to get a job as a guard for boatman Charon so as to avoid going ashore on the far side of the River Styx.

Less interesting than hearing confessions on the GD.
He does need to remember, however, that either his halo or his dog collar could easily strangle him.

Being a Kiwi I find the British comments about the Australian Navy not very good, don't throw stones as I can give you some comments about your navy from Jebel Ali which would not make good reading. Those in glass houses should not throw stones. I am merchant navy only but have piloted quite a few navy vessels from quite a few nations.

I recommend Whitfield's ointment (good for gyve marks).
There is no use turning on the RN. We have already ripped up the type 45 electrical system (or as its behaviour has been reported)

I'm humiliated, humiliated. Imagine being ticked off by a Kiwi about comments on an Australianship.
Lets move on. Lads ought I start a thread on HMNZS Charles Upham? |

For gawds sake don't mention the Isle of Skye and submarines in the same breath. You'll get grounded!! |

In reply to #33 Jacinda Ardern does not have drink parties and when she goes to a restaurant does not ask for special treatment, she is normal and speaks the truth do you know someone who does? If you want to throw stones look closer to home.

Upham. They don't like that any more than Jerry.

YM I'm holding you responsible for starting this thread. It has become divisive and encouraged colleagues to throw stones at each other. Varley's ego is as fragile as cut crystal and easily shattered whereas I am a big, thick, ignorant Ulsterman impervious to everything less than a 7.62
Must go, memsahib is shouting that the U F is getting cold. |

BJ is very good at producing children, he should have spent more time running the country.

Good to see that the dreaded thread drift syndrome has finally arrived from "the other side!"

(It just seemed like the right thing to say when you're surrounded by the f*****s.)

Look at the mess he`s made running the country part time. Now imagine how bad it would be if he concentrated and gave it more time.

Or a second fire engine for Padstow. |

I seem to remember Upham as a character in a movie ... Saving Private Ryan.
He started out as an idealist ... then he totally f***** up ... but came good as a pragmatist in the end. An allegory ?

I read in todays ABC News,
"Exhausted naval technicians claim they are battling temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius as they work around the clock to repair a power failure that has crippled Australia's largest warship." This is obviously a major problem, could it be similar to the problem the QM2 had in 2010 when the capacators in a harmonic filter failed? I'm calling V and his box of fuses back to base and giving the job to Sunderland Forge. |

Sadly they would seem to have two choices;

Such work is suitable for riflemen, grunts and jet jocks. Navy are far too busy rooting around for their Spanish dictionary.
